Psychopomp Interactive LLC (DBA Polygon Psychopomp) provides sociologically informed consultation services for narrative design and writing, community building, and studio culture development in the video game industry. Backed by years of research at the doctoral level and experience across both professional and volunteer services in the entertainment industry in production, community moderation, content development, and presentations in both academia and for the general public, Psychopomp is dedicated to providing education and resource sharing opportunities for video game studios and gaming communities. Through consultations and speaking engagements that help build an understanding of what connects and drives audiences and creators ranging from the individual to the group, studios and communities can better understand how to create social impact through their work and forge stronger ties between players and workers in the gaming industry, allowing for games and their adjacent spaces to grow as guiding forces in communal healing and transnational social movements.
Serena Abdallah-Robbins, Founder & Principal Consultant, is a doctoral candidate in Sociology and holds a Master's degree in Anthropology. She is researching and working towards creating accessible critical analyses of video game narratives to help guide players and creators towards collaborative social action.
